United Express Abandons Travelers: What Should Be Done
20 February 2007Newspapers are reporting people are clamoring for more government regulation as a result of the incident released by USA Today (below). Reglations governing the operations and licensing of airlines are already in place. Are they used to penalize and compensate ill treated passengers? I don’t see much evidence of that.
What should you do when you are mistreated? 1. File a complaint with customer service 2. File a complaint with the National Transportation Administration. 3. Stop flying that airline and tell eveyone you know about the bad experiences.
Air traveler have the most impact on airlines not more regulation.. I avoid US Airlines and recommend you do the same. US Airlines has a terrible on time arrival and departure percentage at airports I frequently use. Just last week when bad weather hit Philadelphia, I sat in an US Airlines plane, totally booked and very crowded for 3 hours. Weather delays can happen but to hold hundreds hostage for 3 hours is rediculous. This falls into the category of abusive.
Based on the following story, it looks like United Express should be added to the list. Not flying an airline delivers a message - fix your issues or close your doors - for good.
Here is the USA Today released this story and it is outrageous. (Click Here: United Express Abandons Air Traverlers)
