Airport Travelers Checking Into Mariott Greenbelt Near Washington, D.C.
26 October 2006A Friday morning meeting at an office building in an area named Greenbelt which is about 15 miles North of Wahington D.C. results in a reservation at the Mariott, Greenbelt. I am almost always delighted with a room at a Mariott. This was no exception. Be aware of the following:
This is an office park area which means there are none of the customery restaurants within site. The front desk gave me a list of place to reach in about 15 minutes. I never arrive at an intended destination the first time in the time indicated. So dinner was at the Mariott. Food was good, service terrible. When I mentioned the service they offered to buy me breakfast. Nice touch.
There is a refridgerator in the room - no Microwave. I like popcorn so no popcorn tonight.
Internet access is wonderful. The Mariott charges $9.95 per day for the connection. Do the math. That is about $300 per month for DSL speed access. That charge always is a negative when considering the Mariott.
Do I recommend this hotel? Absolutely if you have business in Greenbelt.
